So we're moving next week. So we need to get the not-even-phone-line-but-lets-us-get-internet-pseduo-phone-line moved too.

PITRY calls the phone company's copstumer service.
10 minutes later.
SERVICE PERSON #1:"Hello how may I help you?"
PITRY: We're moving, blah blah.
SERVICE PERSON #1:"hold on, I'll get you the people who are sponsible for this.
PITRY put on hold.
13 minutes later.
SERVICE PERSON #2:"Hello how may I help you?"
PITRY: We're moving, blah blah.
SERVICE PERSON #2:"hold on, I'll get you the people who are sponsible for this.
PITRY: "NONONONO wait! That's what the last person said 10 minutes ago."
SERVICE PERSON #2:"Really? Hmm, that's odd. Hold on."
PITRY put on hold.
15 minutes later.
SERVICE PERSON #3:"Hello how may I help you?"
PITRY (miserable): "Are you the flat-moving people?"
SERVICE PERSON #3: "no..."
PITRY: "Can I get their number please?"
SERVICE PERSON #3:"They don't have a number, you call costumer service and we're forwarding he call."
PITRY: "That's what the other two people said. And I've been put on hold for 40 minutes. And I STILL get costumer service in the end!"
SERVICE PERSON #3:"Are you on a mobile phone?"
PITRY: "Yes!"
SERVICE PERSON #3:"Hold on, give me your number, I'll call you and then put someone frmo the flat-moving service on as well."
PITRY:"thankyou."
A couple of minutes later...
SERVICE PERSON #3 calls. PITRY answers.
SERVICE PERSON #3:" Okay, I'm putting the flat-moving people on."
PITRY put on hold. Miserable and pissed off, PITRY hangs up and goes off to the internet to fill in the form where the phone company PROMISES the flat moving people will get back to her ASAP.

I'm starting to wonder whether those 10 quid a month we're saving cos the internet doesm't actually require a landline are worth it.

I HATE phone and internet companies - their customer service is the worst in the world, no matter what country you live in as it seems. I feel your pain Pitry, I have had many fights with our company since they messed up our services when we moved 2 years ago. Grrr

Cheers for that this company has the reputation of having the worst costumer service here, I suspect. Awful...
