With you all the way on Catherine Tate! When she started, I thought I'd give her a chance, depite thinking she was crap as a comedian. First couple of outings were a bit better than expected, but last week's episode was spoiled by her being unable not to return to type - I was expecting to hear "Am I bovvered?" at any moment. Definitely a one-trick pony best sent to the knacker's yard. At least Martha is back this week - no great shakes, perhaps, but light years better than Ms Tate, and until they can get Rose back... I do agree with the comments re the episode though - great storyline and almost as dark as Torchwood. Not really suitable themes for young kids though - however "sophisticated" critics seem to think children are these days. I thoroughly enjoyed it as an adult, but it seems gone are the days of Dr Who as a family show. As for the Christmas special, last week, they were filming in a park close to my mother-in-law's, but it was strictly no access. |

The little thing that keeps popping up in the last two series is that "The Doctor" is not his real name - could we actually find out what his real name is?!?!
And Episode 6 is called The Doctor's Daughter...after all, he did have a child as his first ever assistant was his granddaughter! Look for signs and portents... |

Maybe it's because I've never seen her comedy show, but I don't see it
And I don't know that the episode was unsuitable for kids? Okay, so maybe not everything will be understood (depends on the individual kid and their ages, I suppose) but I think enough of it was accessible, even if it's on the level of "poor Ood, evil company" silliness As for that line, you're probab;y right my dear Hobbit, it had the whole Rose is gone music thingie, maybe it's about Rose. *hopes* *keeps DT in the box* Gods have no one to pray to. |

My friends live in/near Gloucester and they went to the cathedral the other night to watch La Tennant film the Christmas Special. I was most jealous. |

Are you my mummy?
... I love them. I do. Gods have no one to pray to. |

I loved that, totally random throw away line. I kept rewinding it, to hear it again. Very sad. Did you see Rose flash on the screen in the tardis when the Doctor was talking to Donna about phones. Billie Piper got fourth in the credits for that slpit second appearance. You don't have to pray for the death of your enemies, we'll defeat them with a song |

The funny thing is that "The Doctor's Daughter" is actually the Doctor's daughter - her dad is Peter Davison.

Well, I admit to having to stop it, rewind adn listen to the rest of the dialogue - was laughing way too loudly over it Another random moment of hilarity, although in this case unintended: The nuclear countries go online and have their names read. List over. Pitry, Miriam, Yotam & Liza looking at each other and laughing real hard Gods have no one to pray to. |

I am SO infuriated with them bringing Rose back. Why do they want to break the Doctors heart like that?.. he was just getting over it and GEEZ it was sad!
Who didn't cry at the end of season 2. I dare you to say you didn't cry. go on. try it. noshoes |

Mmm... Good episode that was, although i a) feel completely cheated and b) TBH, we've had almost the exact same thing with the billiant series 3 finale, it was a bit too early for that.
(oooh Jeni! As for crying, I'll say the truth. I did cry at the end of series 2. And 1. And three. And in between on several episodes. Moo. On a different note - The BBC are weird That been said, I want a wool ood! If only I could knit. :| Gods have no one to pray to. |

I'm very excited about this week's episode - the week off has given me withdrawl symptoms so bad I nearly bought a badge today in Zavvi with the lovely Mr Tennant on it! Really had to stop myself, my other half would think I'm going a bit daft! But we've got Rose, Daleks and other shenanigans to look forward to so I'll cope until Saturday!

Indeed. To all of the above. Especially withdrawl symptoms.
What will we do next year?! *goes away to hide beneath very, very bright* Gods have no one to pray to. |

In the news today - The Doctor is going out with his daughter. As in the girl who played his daughter a few weeks ago. Gah!
