What brings people here together?

Is it purely an apreciation of the music or do some of us have other things in common??

To cut to the chase:

For instance:

I have had many unusual experiences involving lucid dreaming & things such as......wait for it......UFO's & stuff.

Some things higher and some things lower in the spectrum.

I think some of my experiences developed after reading WY Evans Wentz material and such people as Leary, Huxley and Mckenna.

Very powerful things books/the written word!

I experienced the lower dimensions and read about sorcery and witchcraft and other-worldly things & read about Whitley Strieber and David M Jacobs. This material/experience's led me to meeting various people including Larry Warren from the RAF woodbridge incident.

After viewing an anomoly in the sky near my home on february 24 1999 (which was witnessed by many people and documented in a well known magazine) I used the ''I Ching'' (book of changes -adapted by Stephen Karcher) to ask it:

What was that I saw in the sky?

The answer I got was:

The Ancestors, The Earlier Kings who use the Firebird to Descend upon the Cities!

Can anyone else here relate to such things?

Im never afraid of speaking out about anything that concerns me!

There are many people (including very well known individuals) who have experienced such things.

Have you?

After all, the lyrics of some of the Kula guys songs are pretty out there. Surely I am just responding to inherent principals by asking this question?

Or is this just too whacky a subject matter?

If it is then I guess it will go un-responded.

This is the Anything and Everything thread.

For me its a need to know!

Please respond.....anyone......?

PS.

Just like to say here that on the day of the eclipse in 1999, I was on the top of Grange Fell in the lake district (I believe this is the day that Kula disbanded?) and I had a very unusual experience. On that day I really apreciated the Sun and its life-giving energy.

I dont really know why I just told you that last bit. It just popped in so I let it out!

Smiler

Hehe!

Seriously though....

Actually there is a very well known band that attempted to reproduce the sound of a UFO-? on one of their tracks. I believe a number of the band witnessed it.

This is a topic that not many people admit to being involved with due to obvious ridicule.

Im not just talking about flying saucers lol

'Anything and everything' unknown.

Crispian mentions the 303 being a 'portal.'
He also talks about being superstitious.

Lots of people are. Of what?

Im sure its not the -step on a crack break your mothers back- kind of thing or standing on your keys after you drop them.

Where might this portal take us or what might come through it, or happen to those exposed to it???

Stone Henge -Anyone have experiences there?
I have always wanted to see that place.

You know, forces beyond and all that!

Dreaming future events etc....

People have even been known to engage in things like Trepanning -drilling holes in their head to open the third eye! Eeker

Not that Im suggesting anyone here engages in that one LOL !

Last year when I was in Amsterdam (Amsterdamned?) I had a very outrageous experience. It was as if something really didnt like me there. I was getting imagos of executions and murder and I really had to fight it off, like it was trying to scare me to death or something.

I didnt know anything at all about the history of that square till I got home and researched it a bit on the net. Subsequently I found out that there were many murders/executions on that square.

This stuff fascinates me, the fact that historical events can be almost re-lived.

For anyone who is interested here is a link to a very abundant resource:

Unknowncountry

I have been tuning into this site for about 7 years. There is a radio link top right and an interesting broadcast happening right now involving a very well known actress.

Regards.

yeah... what brings me here these days is mostly our mutual love for Mychem, their girlfriends and their guitars.

Also, I'm on a mission to turn people into mcr fans... Pitry is the current target. She shall soon be dragged through the portal that is 303, to what is on the other side... a world where things like this happen:

and this

That actually reminds me... it seems Frank is rejoining them for their dates in Australia! Erm... or has already? *doesn't remember*

I had just joined a Kula Shaker related mailing list when I got a personal e-mail from a young Reading girl called Kate on 11th March 1999. I had absolutely no idea who she was but somehow I immediately knew/felt that she was a very special person and that we were going to be close friends. You know that kinda feeling. I happened to be right and to this day she's still the apple of my eye and one of the coolest and most intelligent persons I ever met. Of course, we became real life friends too and whenever we meet I realise that I wouldn't be there with her if it wasn't for Kula. In other words, I feel a certain loyality towards the band coz they gave me this wonderful person which is why I'm still a member of their forum I guess. But I also like talking about music of course Smiler

Thats a nice story Phantom.

Thanks for your response!

Feb 1999 saw in a planitary alignment, so March was very close to it. Maybe it was a general time for communications? Just a guess.

I have always liked Kula ever since the K album. To me they are an edge band and obviously are very complex -to me at least.

I like the idea that people who like Kula can talk about them here on the site but I feel a bit awkward almost doting on an individual or group so I just like to start other topics of conversation.

Govinda!

Joykiller.
You were supposed to make a stupid and ignorant comment so I would be able to snark back a reply and, consequentially, stop feeling shit like I do now.
It doesn't work this way, when you don't follow the well rehearsed script but decide to be nice all of a sudden!

People these days. Can't trust 'em.
