Managed to wangle free backstage passes for tonight's gig in Brum and should be going on stage in an animal costume to dance (don't ask). Will make a change fromm my usual Monday night in front of the TV

I was dressed as an alien last night dancing like a twat with some other loony-tunes. Good job I had a mask on cos I don't know any of the words lol. The Flaming Lips are exceptionally good though

Heh don't ask what? I'm curious to know how you managed to wrangle that, anyway. It sounds like fun. I remember when they played on TOTP and had Justin Timberlake dressed as a dolphin, although he kind of ruined it by refusing to wear the head that went with it...

Yeah i went to see them in Manchester (by accident kinda as my girlfriend had a ticket but i didnt & i ended up getting one off a tout for £5!!!) - they were great actually. There was a really good atmosphere and it seemed lots of fun. The people next to me were wrestling each other to get a slap of the big balloon tho! To be honest i wasnt a big fan of theirs before but i think a hell of a lot more of them now! And the santa claus's on stage looked like they were having fun...

My b'friend works at the hotel they stopped at so they asked if we wanted to go on stage with them. Couldn't pass up an opportunity like that really Got to go on the Ocean Colour Scene tour bus through meeting them at the hotel too. Hotel work pays peanuts but does have its perks
