Totally surreal moment, I've just booked tickets to see X-Ray Spex at the Roundhouse! Never thought I'd get the chance to see them, I remember feeling this way about the Sex Pistols too when they reformed for the 2002 Pistols at the Palace gig! Well it won't be like 1977 but I hope Poly is still rocking!! They just better not play anything off the second album!!

Awesome X-Ray Spex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrRRdkQaaRU

On a Kula note, Crispian likes them. I think she's into the Krishna movement too.

Ooh Goldblade, I remember them doing a very rude song called Hairstyle a few years back. But yes enjoy the legend that is Poly. I think I remember Pauli quoting her back in the famous Q interview of 1997.

Oooh, if tickets are still obtainable when I'm richer, I might indulge...they remind me of being 17 again! *sniff*

The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming.

Yeah she is. And as you know, Crispian has played live with her on at least one occasion. Maybe he might do this time too Razzer

I once saw a pic of Hayley Mills and Poly at a Krishna temple but I think I already mentioned this a few months ago.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your post 2-J coz I hadn't heard about this gig yet. I already had to miss the Sex Pistols in London a few months ago and I really don't feel like missing this gig either...

That's ace! Is it just the one UK date, or might there be more?

I wouldn't count on any more dates being announced until / unless the london one sells out. Seeing as they've been onsale a couple of months already, I wouldn't say that was a safe bet either.

In the long term you never know though I guess.

i'm glad there are people on here who like Poly Styrene - or Marion Elliot [as is her real name]

Poly performed at the Love Music Hate Racism event on Sunday! She was awesome! Just one song, 'Oh Bondage, Up Yours', the crowd loved it and were jumping around all over the place down the front-

Can't wait for the full gig!!

You always remember the first record you bought and your first gig. Wasn't going to disclose but my first ever gig was X-ray specs-so now you know I'm very old!
