"traitor" is going a bit far, but yeah, if I was in the NME I wouldn't be drawing attention to the fact :P

Speaking of everyone's favourite music weekly, I see they're back to stitching people up again:

Oh yeah, and on the Morrissey thing, this Morrissey fan site makes for interesting reading:

http://www.true-to-you.net/

They're basically alleging that the journalist who conducted the NME interview has disowned the article:

quote:
"Hi Merck,
Hope you're well. I should mention that for reasons I'll probably never understand, NME have rewritten the Moz piece. I had a read and virtually none of it is my words or beliefs so I've asked for my name to be taken off it. Just so you know when you read it.
Best,
Tim"

A poor state of affairs for a magazine imho when even their own writers wash their hands of the editorialising BS that goes on there.

Yay! Morrissey sticks it to the NME:

I can't say I'm the world's biggest Morrissey fan, but what he says about the "new" NME hits the nail squarely on the head. Pleasing too that most of the comments on the piece seem to be in agreement also.
