They're basically alleging that the journalist who conducted the NME interview has disowned the article:

A poor state of affairs for a magazine imho when even their own writers wash their hands of the editorialising BS that goes on there.

I can't say I'm the world's biggest Morrissey fan, but what he says about the "new" NME hits the nail squarely on the head. Pleasing too that most of the comments on the piece seem to be in agreement also.
