Yea I think most people on here have heard of them and listened to the demos that were uncovered.

Also there was a very useful discussion with someone on here (forget the name) who used to attend their early gigs. Actually that's probably where the demos came from. Anyway they helped to clear up some of the murky history of the aforementioned band...

This should be in the KS section of the forum really Razzer

Yea I managed to get the demo tapes from the person you mention, then I sent them to someone on here to be converted to mp3. Unfortunately he only had the last two demo tapes they did, he had lost all the earlier ones Frowner

Hmm well gven the choice I'd rather have the later ones than the earlier ones, since the later ones represent the band at its closest point to The Kays (i.e. KS) being formed. And are therefore the most relevant ones. So it wasn't such a bad outcome.

But yeah, it would've been nice to have all of them, having said that. Thanks for helping everyone to get to hear the ones that did survive anyway (if I didn't thank you originally...)

There's a myspace profile for them now as well isn't there? So you can hear the tracks on there if you havent already got hold of them.

Was it Universal Vagrant (Charlie)?

The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming.

The guy I was thinking of posted as WYNIR0; also I think he supplied the demo tape itself. There's a lot of info in this thread:

http://kulashakermusic.groupee.net/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8...261018241#9261018241

I don't think Charlie is the same guy? I know he saw gigs back when they were the Kays (which is impressive to me in itself), but I didn't get the impression it went further back than that.

There's also been posts on here from (supposedly) a couple of ex-members of Objects of Desire themselves (Leigh Morris and a guy called Richard who drummed with them for a while...)

haha i forgot my login details already!

well i was about 15 & very very stoned...
a complete mess ~ but crispin wasnt, he was always very sharp & very frendly, i'm lucky to have had moments of his time.. i guess i'm one of his acidhead casualties *blush* but that was then ~ a lot of us at collywobbles were too messed up for the mainstream.. the rest of them like crispin ect were too smart!! or in crisins case to smartly dressed!! white rock star suit was prolly as inapropiate college gear as my tramp-punk 3 pairs of holey fishnets mode!!

well they were no nonsense gigs, small affairs with no pomp, just spit, sawdust & damned finely tuned mind blowing tunes... they bloody rocked from day one.. better than some other assoc. acts like the senseless things or the milk monitors of the time... but:
its all a happy misty fog for me now lol

i sound like an 80yo hillbilly chewing tobacco.
but thats how i feel lol lol lol

*sigh* =o)
