The Fratellis are pretty cool, but they are but one of a series of bands that wouldn't have a great deal if they weren't ripping off the Libertines...then again I suppose, you can't live in a vacuum.

Right, and The Libertines wouldent have come about if The Jam werent a band many years ago, cos thats who they and The Ordinary Boys are ripping off.

The Libertines are shite. They didn't do anything new and nor did they have anything constructive to say. At least The Fratellis make great music. Much better than The Libs.

i'd have to disagree with you there! From what i've heard of the fratellis so far it seems pretty ordinary apart from creepin up the backstairs. The libs wrote some amazing stuff with great lyrics....up the bracket, what a waster, time for heroes, dont look back into the sun, etc, etc i could go on and on. I know pete is a complete turnip but as a songwriter you really can't deny he has a special talent.

Nah. The Libs never really did stand out for me, and also they were really over hyped.

With The Fratellis, its just fast loud and brash alt rock. Oh and seein em live is quite an experience. Even if it was just seein supportin BRMC.
