So i saw the topic what band's are you curently hating i thought why not ask what band are you curently loving. I thought hey why not ask what you like instead of hate, maybe you'll open up some new doors for people.
So to star off with: The Pretty things (not to be confused with the dirty pretty things) S.F.Sorrow, may just be one of the greatest albums to EVER be overlooked. The Yardbirds. Common, jeff beck, Eric Clapton, And Jimmie Page, all in the band at one point. whats not to like? And the last band im curently obseing over, The Moody Blues. Days of Future past, and in Search of The Lost Cord. = god like. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mesmerised like fireflies that are falling through a flame. |

Did anyone hear a track from a band called "Cajun Dance Party" on Jo Whiley's show on Radio 1? Superb, and they're only 16-year- olds. Watch out for them.
As for bands I'm loving at the moment, I've rediscovered The Jam and Train. |

My Chemical Romance's Black Parade is the album I'm listening to absolutely everyday atm...
Also listening to a hell of a lot of Bob Marley. And having an Eminem revival as well. __________________________________________________________________ I'm an A1 major-league sociopath http://www.gorillaz-unofficial.com http://www.myspace.com/gorillaz http://www.kulashaker.net |

Developed an unhealthy obssesion with Ladytron following their recent support slot for NIN. They arrived onstage in Manchester, looking fabulous, in front of a screen showing one of my favourite films, Suspiria. (The film is about a coven of witches hiding out in a dance academy in Germany! Ladytron's latest album is called Witching Hour). So they had my attention immediatelty and musically they didn't dissapoint. Saw them again in Birmingham (sadly without the film backdrop) and they sounded even better second time around. Set opener was High Rise and I recommend every one on here to check out their MySpace page where this song and three others from Witching Hour can be heard. I'd be interested to know what you think.

On a slightly unrelated note Zero, one of my favourite bands Miranda Sex Garden made an album called Suspiria, inspired by the general Gothic-ness and strangeness of the film, you might enjoy it. Also from what I know of Ladytron you might like a band called Huski -www.myspace.com/huskimusic
Bands I'm loving at the moment are: PJ Harvey Seth Lakeman My Ruin Kula |

Amazingly (for a prog rock/folk fan) I'm listening to Razorlight's latest album almost everyday right now- somehow, after the variously confusing events of my life's taken since December, the music just seems to soundtrack the way I feel right now! It has all that mixture of elation, melancholy, love and heartbreak all to the backdrop of a million cigarettes and that woozy feeling you get after drinking too much! It's a really good one to listen to in the quiet moments, where you can really sit and think! I took it to York this weekend, where we sat listening to it on the city walls looking out on to the cathedral!
Speaking of York, cause one of my other favorite bands come from round there, Mostly Autumn are a group everyone shoud check out if you like big epic brooding pink floyd-esque rock with a touch of celtic fire! Brian Josh is an incredible guitarist, and I had the privillage of drinking with him in 'the old white swan' this weekend! They also have the nicest keyboard player and most beautiful singer in the world! I've recently got into Marillion, after bumbing into Fish down in London! I'd never really given them a chance before so I thought now'd be the time to do so! If they're all a bit obscure, I just got tickets to see the police! Thanks for that Sarah, I'm aware of the album you are talking about but have never tracked it down. To be honest I assumed it shared the same source material, "Levana and Our Ladies of Sorrow", a section of Thomas de Quincey's Suspiria de Profundis, rather than being directly inspired by the film. That's no reason to avoid it of course! I'll move it to the top of my musical 'to do' list. You don't have to pray for the death of your enemies, we'll defeat them with a song |

It can be a bit hard to find - Amazon marketplace is your best bet. If you can't track it down email me and I'll do you a copy, it's well worth hearing. |

I lost of track of Marillion after Fish left the band but I'm still a big fan of their early work, and more specifically, the Misplaced Childhood and Clutching At Straws albums. I saw Fish a few months ago during his Return To Childhood Tour and he played an excellent set, including the entire Misplaced Childhood album (of course)! By the way, congrats with your Police tickets! |

Too many to list actually but I guess that Jimi is still my all time favourite |

Dude, I never put you down as a Cramps fan. You are not a human fly or anything are you? I have to say, my poor old cramps records were played done when I was at high school - and that was many moons ago. I mean, the only format they were available in at that time was vinyl. Then I stopped liking them as suddenly as I started. You have got me curious again my dear Susheel! "When there's no more room in Hell, the Dead will walk the Earth", Ken Foree, Dawn of the Dead (1978 & 2004). |
