Following getting an email from admin I decided to buy the 'Taking Liberties' dvd. I just watched it.
My God what a sad state of affairs this country has become. Not that I didnt know it already.
The thing is is that there is too much of the blighty stiff upper lip /we edure going on in britain. We all know that governments are corrupt but we tend to just put up and shut up as a whole.
The dvd showed the poll tax riots. I dont really think that it was the money aspect that caused the majority of men to get up and protest/kick off. Im my opinion it was the fact that there was a woman prime minister in charge and that the male ego was too offended by this womanly authority. Im not being shovenist here just expressing an opinion.
After all those protestors are still around and are now being fleeced much much more!

This leads me to think that a woman prime minister might not be a bad idea for reverse psychology reasons. Men might step up to the challenge again.

I cant for the life of me understand why the government disrespects its people the way it does.

I myself am always confronting my local authority due to being crapped on by them repeatedly.

My local authority has abused my rights on literally around 30-40 occasions. There are complaints proceedures in place but using them is akin to pissing up the wind! Sorry kids.
At the first point of complaint I/we/you get patronized and at the end point I/we/you just get ignored. On many occasions I have wrote letters to parliament. All I/we/you get is 'we are investigating' then I/we/you hear nothing, then I/we/you call them and they say something to annoy us, subsequently we get annoyed back and then THEY decide to terminate the call because they dont like our attitude/abusive manner!

I honestly believe that the average joes voice means jack. However when a celebrity over steps their mark they always get heared and usually get away with it. Brings to mind the purple flour throwing incident.

So my conclusion is that we need our outspoken rock stars and celebs because people sit up and listen more easily.
Im afraid to admit but most people are fickle.

If you aint watched the dvd yet its well worth a look.
