Seriously this title is NOT misleading got my ticket today, theirs a jim capadli tribute on sunday in london at the roundhouse
the line up is AMAZING, and it isnt sold out

so its featuring
stevie winwood
weller
Townsend
Joe walsh
gary moore
Jon Lord
bill wyman
Yusuf Islam
and simon Kirke my alltime favourite drummer

it isnt cheap but all profits are going to a charity so it doesnt feel as bad buying tickets

should be an AMAZING concert aparently they are doing mostly traffic songs, which is cool

Jon Lord - we should send Jay to it then! They always remind me of each other.

I almost had a heart attack when I found it wasnt sold out!
£75 is a lot of money though, dont know much about the charity, so dont know about donations etc

still am a big fan of traffic so should be good as its a Jim Cappaldi tribute!

I actually cannot remember what J Lord looks like, but seeing as he was in a band in the 60,s 70,s he is bound to be as hairy as Jay

which is no bad thing

it was really good

cannot remember the exact set list, managed to tape the gig though, plus dont know all the songs that they played

they did do paper sun(weller on vocals)
low heeled spark(winwood on vocals)
gary moore did a blues song and ripped off some licks by page(seriously straight off)
winwood also did dear mr fantasy and was AMAZING on guitar, seriously good one of hte best guitar players on the night

the storys did a song and they were pretty lame(thats just my own humble opinion)

Jon Lord played hammond for most of the gig and was REALLY good

Simon Kirke sang Whale meet again

joe walsh did about 3 songs didnt impress me overly(even though I love the eagles)
he did do john barley corn which was the best of the songs that he tackled

thats just some thoughts off of the top of my head
they did film it though so it will probably come out on DVD

anyway have to bop off and eat some food as am starving(well seeing as I weigh 90 Kilos I cannot exactly be starving but still, hungry is perhaps the word)

dan

PS

ooooh I forgot
Yusuf was really good and very nice, weller seemed like he was going through the menopause, bill wyman looked as grumpy as ever as well
