of Poetry:
Not sure if there has been a thread of poems? I was just listening to some KS and it reminded me of my early writing moments. I felt like recalling them and writing them down so here are a few for anyone who reads or writes poetry. Please let me read some of yours if you have some! Thank you kindly :-) A Shamans Quest Quick silvered sip in blood does flow the nature of our Karmic law Not understood by natural science, transcendental thoughts in spoken silence In waves of space, in Brahmans face a vital heat in flow A psychic link in shaman's drink, of cosmic H2O With grasping hands we follow through till meet we face to face Expanding minds, contracting times encapsulate space time's race A beings life, a planets death A finite time is this To leap ahead with billows breath, too late a chance to miss And take with us the memory of a place we may construct A world full of shamanic dreams, that time cannot disrupt Through black holes vast, take from our past A life-flux ever flowing A Mystic Deed, a Crystal Seed The Great Ones are now sowing. ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

InFiNiTuM
Laid back in his field He watched the clouds above The wind was here to talk with him Give him a little shove Direction in his mind, he traversed with the Sun The reigns were his, the gate was there, Infinitum had finally come! Pointing down at him Power rolling free The Universe aligned his soul Enabled him to see Soaring as the swift Attention high above Lifted as the summer bird A Cosmic Hand in Glove. ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

Blakestone Tyger
Amidst the aincient ruins there lie A stone cold tyger with a fierce eye Dont touch him else you'll wake his flesh To stalk you with his mighty breath Now you must hide, now you must flee Out of his view, for him to see Gather your children, shut your door And hope that TYGER comes no more Look out in the city street Hysteria roams the preachers feet Go find your gun, be quick he's coming! Now stand your ground, with heart to show him You fear no more, his threat to you For you are strong, your stregnth is new Before you even shoot your gun He'll run like hell, to kingdom come Now he's the dreamer, do you see? He'll run and hide, while you stalk he! ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

These really remind me of William Blake's work. I think you might also like some of Jim Morrison's stuff - try "American Night" or "Wilderness". They are also quite reminiscent of Michael McClure's work - Beat writer from the 60's, bizarrely best known as the writer of Janis Joplin's "Mercedes Benz" and playwright of "The Beard" - so, you might like to check his stuff out.
What a cultured lot us KS fans are! |

Hi Poet!
I only just noticed your reply! RE: The Wiliam Blake reference. Well I felt (at the time of writing the third of those three above) that I got an insight from the man himself. I was thinking a lot about Tyger Tyger and then I had a dream which was basically that poem. Thats why I named it BlakeSTONE TYGER. Notice the spelling of TYGER! Good observation of yours. I had a manuscript which I did get an offer for discussion of publication by someone called Frank Digiovanni from New York but I didnt pursue it. I ended up just scattering my manuscript at various places in Florida, including by the side of the road and Clearwater Library amongst other places which I believe is where Morrison spent some of his time. The manuscript was called : Thunderhighway. Amused BC. The Return of Power. I was on a journey from around 1990 to 2001. It took me through the ''dark night of the soul'' to something futuristic and liberating. I was into things that gave me a glimpse behind the curtain. I found out quite a lot about the inner self, fear, doubt, trust and letting go of personal baggage. I dont actually have a copy of my manuscript anymore I just remember what I remember and occasionally write it on the web. Someone who read my poems said they remind them of the war poets, im not sure. I read a lot of Carlos Casteneda and took much of the stuff to heart. Its really strange how everything weaves together. I read A Seperate Reality in 1989 and I also read Break on Through (the doors) and found out that Morrison was into Casteneda too! I can come across as pretty crazy to some people but I laugh at that because sometimes I think Im the only one who understands my sense of humour! I think I come from a Gene Pool of Crazy People. lol I'd like to read some of your poetry! If you have some that is? Im guessing you do by your handle. RSVP Regards...... ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

Astral Travel
When in a dream can you unravel Can you aspire to astral travel Quick awareness comes to thee A moments chance to be so free Yes right here the timeslip bends Then upon we stumble those singing sirens If you resist, if you stead-fast Then there reveals -time present, time past To crash through skies, to fly like bird To UNTRAINED EYES seems so absurd Transfer my mind to a different sphere Without my body do I stand here So whats the need of all dense matter With this new world the old will shatter When finally Karmic Bonds unravel Forever I will Astral Travel... 8 ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

Snakeman
We'll gather here and wait a short while Wait while he comes, the man with no smile He's on his way through, the city streets and trees His scent on the wind and the wild summer breeze You think that you know him but you're not quite sure He peers through your window, he sneaks through your door When he peers through your window, your heart starts to race And scratching your door comes the man with no face Dragons and snakes they writhe at his feet Mythical creatures and spell-bound deciet Sancturary, I'll seek out a safe place to flee To shake off these visions that will not leave me... Thrashing knives and Threshing Floor I fight him for the key to my door! Thunderhighway, Amused BC. ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

Tracks of Time
The camera takes a picture Scenes flash upon the mind The ghosts of dawn walk through our wood Pale remnants of mankind They march upon our land with grace They leave no tracks for us to trace Yet still they walk in other time Through tangent rings in mysty rhyme... ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |

Hi there mr baggins,
I wish I could say yes for you but its more real for me than that. I literally got into astral travel for a while and its just my description of its feel and process. I noticed how fast paced it is out there and that usually a object will be put before you. Whatever that is to you, it could be an indulgence or whatever. The point about the singing sirens is that you have to resist this temptation to get to its next stage which is where you become miestro! Just tried to explain a gate thats all. Thanks for the interest! ------------------------------------ Through the eyes of a skull comes the knowledge of man. |
