been reading for a while but decided to post because its sooo frustrating knowing this crispian album is out and about. it seems such a waste that the music hasn't been shared yet.
anyway... i've come up with an idea. why dont we do an online petition kind of thing. i don't know how to set them up but i'm sure someone here will be keen enough to. because crispian is a decent enough bloke and i think he'd want these tunes heard if he knew the fans were so desperate to hear them. if we present the petition to admin i'm sure it'll get passed onto crispian.
maybe its a shit idea but thought i'd share my thoughts.
Crispian's made it clear on several occiasions that he doesn't wish this album to be made public, so maybe, frustrating as it is for many, we should just respect his wishes.
On a side note however, I am all for petitions and action by fans; it's always nice to see real enthusiasm so plaudits for that at least. But on the specific subject I think it may be a good idea to leave it be this time.

I too am in agreeance with Sarah. Crispian obviously does not think that this is his best work, and would prefer for it not to be put on general release. I mean, think of all the unreleased stuff that he hasn't even told us about! Perhaps if we just all leave it be, he will one day have a wee change of heart, and make us all happy little bunnies and release it without any pressure. However, he must at least feel happy that his fanbase cares so much about his work that they are willing to get a petition together so that they can even hear some of his unreleased material.

phooey, i think we should offer him swapsies on it, we'll all write some half finished rubbish that we dont want him to hear, then it'll be a fair trade! what do people think? lets start a band!

Oh dear, well that's me done for. Although I do have not bad taste in listening to music, I am not inclined for playing it. In fact, you would probably find if we all started a band, that I would even let you down playing the triangle. Then again, it doesn't really affect my everyday life, so perhaps I shall get over it afterall!

i just think that perhaps he isn't comfortable with them being heard because he's not aware of the actual interest surrounding the tracks but maybe i'm wrong.
and i don't think we'd be talkin of an official release or anything. so the press couldn't exactly slate the tunes. it'd just be a case of the bootleg getting leaked.
i just think that he isn't aware how keen everyone is to hear these tunes and how good everone thinks these tunes are (from the clips and live) but i understand what you guys are saying and you're probably right. maybe its not a good idea.

I agree. Isn't a third kula shaker album enough for you folks?!
it seems to me that the best option is to casually "leak" this album - officially deny any release, but give it to a few people (hello K(tm)) who can pass it on to people who want it for listening enjoyment, not for review and analysis. the trickle-down approach of music economics. give it to some fans that will display a reasonable degree of sensibility. basically, if the album is passed between fellow music enthusiasts, that's all good, you just don't want someone to make a torrent
if the distribution is thoroughly considered, i'd wager the kula boys would have more than enough time to get an album (or two!) out before it eventually soaked into the general internet file pile...
