Some of the b-sides were rather pretentious, but the album stuff (that most people will have heard) is awesome. Why do people laugh when I mention Kula Shaker?

This is a subject that has bothered me for a long time. How dare a band create such an original sound and stray from the path of mainstream britpop. Got to stop now or I'll start ranting...........

People fear anything which they don't understand, hence the fact few british people can speak foreign languages. It's far too difficult for them to comprehend, so the listen to tripe with lyrics like Oasis write.

I am the smile that was secretly offered
No hesitation for your delight
Before hurt, before love was questioned
And we believed in love at first sight

I was the only one in college who liked them, seems no matter what your taste in music, there's always someone who won't agree.
But they did have a number one album so it seems there were alot of people who did appreciate what they did.

I agree about the fear!
People are scared of how simple the answer is.

My b'friend has been taking the piss ever since I mentioned that they'd reformed but he's a die hard Oasis fan and a music snob!

Shower your love on me..? Sounds a bit rude if you ask my opinion

Oasis plays tomorrow here. But the last week played U2, and yesterday The Gathering... so, Oasis is not causing so much noise.
