I am in a class in my post-secondary education where we have to make a video. I was going to use "super CB Operator" and the cover of hush, but I need permission from he band/label to do so, where can I email/ask them for permission to do this?

Its a non profit video to btw

Go through the band's official myspace. http://www.myspace.com/kshaker send them a message and they will pass it on. That's the most expedient way.

Is this video actually going to be publically released, or just something submitted as part of your coursework? Cos if it's just coursework then maybe you're better off just going out and doing it. I doubt if anyone cares about the music being used in such a context, but if you try and get official permission the answer will probably be 'no', anyway. Just because it's a lot easier to fob someone off with that answer than it is to try and pursue it with all the relevant parties.

The way CodyWiese phrased it, gave me the impression his teacher or the exam board guidelines for his board, had advised him not to use copyrighted works without permission. Hence my response.

I may have been wrong in that assumption, however.
