If you really absolutely have to get the definitive KS live drum sound (circa '99) then this is the item for you. Kind of cool, though not cool enough to spend £100 on, sadly. Although it's possible someone else here might have use for such a thing.

Maybe it'll be one of Crispian's old guitars next *deluded*

It's funny you should say that. I bought a second hand multi effects pedal in about 2002 and one of the presets was called 'K'. It wasn't advertised as Crispian's old pedal but it could well have been because I saw an old performance on youtube and he seems to have the exact same one. Then again it could have just been a fan of the band who wanted his guitar to sound like the guitars on K. ???

Nothing passes me by Razzer If I'd been planning to bid I'd have probably kept it to myself too, but since I'm not, I figured it would be better mentioned here. It would be cool if a fan bought it. Although sadly the chances are that it'll be bought by someone who's not into KS and the very first thing they'll do is wipe all the settings from it. Which will be a shame.

Well, anything's possible, but it's more likely the latter. The only reason I believe that the one I linked to is the genuine article, is because the seller is explicitly saying so. And quite honestly if they were going to lie about something like that to try and help sell it, they'd pick a band whose name was more likely to attract interest than Kula's would. And also make a bigger deal of it rather than burying it in the item description.

I feel I should warn anyone considering bidding though that "fair condition" is usually eBay speak for "this looks like it's been reversed over by a large truck."

Well I'm no expert on this kind of thing, but the purpose of a box like that is to take a sound that's fed into it and add some kind of effect ('fx') to it (like echo or phasing, though there's many different types of effect.) So the presets would be a number of different effects that the band (or more likely one of the techs) would have programmed into that box by adjusting the available settings to produce just the sound they wanted for a given song. There probably would have been one preset for each song in the set list, or something like that.
