Ooof, bad news dude - Crispian joined the Klaxons last week, but Kula Shaker have drafted in Bono as a replacemenr, so fear not.

As for U2, Bono has been replaced by an inanimate carbon rod, it was safer that way.

The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming.

How can you make posts while on the till at Dixons? Do the PCs you use to put the sale through on have browsers and stuff too? It never occurred to me before, but I guess it's no stranger than office workers being able to access the net.

Also is there some kind of training thing at Dixons they send staff on to make sure that within five seconds of walking through the door every customer gets set upon by someone asking if they need any help? Mad

The tills had net access, well it was only supposed to be the intranet but it wasn't especially difficult to get through that. All I needed was a dongle and portable Firefox!

They do force the staff to pounce. I never did, I was too busy messing with the internet on the till.

Dixons are cunts anyway. I think Bono's in charge now.

*Claire, that is the funniest thing I've heard all day!*

God, things are quiet around here, still no controversy, it’s getting so that I'll have to pop over to Stargate for a bit of argy bargy (thanks for the tip P!). I'm still working hard (to a deadline), so can't start a thread at the mo. Can any one suggest any other forums? (This is my first but I can feel an addiction coming on!

Thanks, although I wish that I hadn't made a typo on replacement... Wink ...I feel a bit bad that Mr. 8 hasn't come back though. Come back dude, we were only teasing you...

Ha, the spirit of Dixons seems to be on the managers of my ex-work, too. They always wanted us to harrass people too. Now try and explain to them that this is a bookshop in a university campus, I hardly think someone wandering in in order to get a textbook is likely to want to buy a digital camera from a dodgy manufacturer for 100 pounds, just because I'd be offering it to them.

..And yeah, Claire, you rule! Smiler

Skye, beware of forum addictions, some of them come with inbuilt giraffes. Frowner

Yeah, beware of those long necked ones! They're the ones selling the dodgy cameras.

I don't mind a bit of teasing actually Wink

I was only joking anyway. They've not really got a new album out - just winding you up.

(and to shamefully steal from someone else), what you mean PP&A is postponed for yet another year?! - oh, yes, this is so 1998. Razzer

And I could quite believe people in my ex-shop are giraffes. Are giraffes working at Doxons too?

Yes. There was one called Ian working there when I left. Even his girlfriend said he was a giraffe!
