I think we need one of these. Post requests and if you see a request you can honour, then please do it!

As ground rules;

*Don't post download links to any of the material released since the reformation. It's all still pretty readily available and the band are still making money from it. Support the band.

Request for live bootleg material since the reformation is okay though.

*Don't post download links to any tracks from K or PPA. Buy them and support the band. Any true fan should own both of these.

I know we've been here before, but any true fan should own the singles also imho. And if they don't they can buy them all for about 50p each on eBay.

Well neither the band nor the label make money from second hand singles. If people want to own the singles then an mp3 download won't provide a substitute to that anyway.

I'm not saying that people are ripping off the band by downloading b-sides, just that they're being cheapskates, and I guess I see that as something to be discouraged rather than indulged. I suppose I just don't understand why people wouldn't want to own all the singles, with all the lovely artwork and everything. They can still rip them to mp3 afterwards if it's a convenience thing.

But I've said all this before *shuts up*

I can see your point totally. I mean I own all the singles and I wouldn't be without! And had a lot of fun collecting them.

It's definitely not too hard to get the complete collection of UK singles (might take a little while but they do come up on ebay usually pretty cheaply) so if anyone is in any doubt, yes it is worth trying to collect them all if you can.

I see your point.
However - as a person who went really as far as she could to lay hands on KS singles, it's not as easy. And yes, some of them I ended up finding in a second hand store - years after I already had the b-sides in at leasdt 2 differnet places, and I bought it anyway cos it's KS. Like I bought both versions of SYL in order to get Goodbye Tin Terriers which I already had (and of course fell on the faulty version! GAH).

My point is - it's hard. It's even harder when you're not from the UK (I still don't have Sound of Drums, for example). I can see James' point about not requesting the new singles - which is why I, for example, am going to wait til October rather than try and get the Second Sight b-sides now by downloading them - just like I bought Strangefolk even tho I downloaded the leaked version. But these days, finding the Hey Dude or Tattva Lucky 13 or Sound of Drums singles is near damn impossible, especially first hand.

Heh I see your point *too*. There's a lot of empathy here Smiler But I guess not everyone who asks for b-sides is as far away as you are; and therefore don't have such an excuse.

Talking of locations, I love your new one Smiler

Why don't you download the Second Sight B-sides from 7digital? Anyone can do it worldwide (Unlike Itunes which right now is UK only), it's legal and you're supporting the band that way. Do it now!

NOTE: If you DO do this and you have an Ipod, you must first burn these tracks onto an audio cd THEN upload to Itunes since these tracks are in WMA format which don't support the Ipod.

Could someone kindly share with me the names of all known KS b-sides, remixes and rarities, and their respective singles? I'm trying to add to my KS Kollection!

This discography should provide the answers to all your questions, in terms of officially released tracks.

Beyond that there is the US vinyl 12" of Hush which has a couple of extra remixes of Hush, and there's the 1995 demo tape with Shower Your Love demo and Knight On The Town demo. Beyond that there's only live recordings of various qualities, not officially commercially released.

EDIT: oh yeah and there are some tracks and covers never officially released. Baby You're A Rich Man (cover), Rain (cover), For This Love, Be Merciful, Hard To Be A Woman, Craving Heart.

Also "MMG No. 2", which was (kind of) officially released on one of the Mystical Machine Gun promo CDs (not that it's particularly worth hearing.)

(oh, but thankee for the tip anyways! I dind't know 7digital existed! I have to admit tho, I'm a bit old fashioned like that, I like to have a hard copy fo my music. Someti, mes more than one.... that's why I got Yes' Tales from Topographic Ocean on CD, vynil and mp3 Big Grin)

Cool! Thanks, 2-J. Aside from the albums and (few) singles I do own, I just came across (in another thread) the b-sides Zip you claimed to have uploaded at one point. Is there any chance you could share with me the track names, as they are all untitled?
