Same goes for me - I did email you re this in the week. If two of us are transferring, we can get even more out there.

Speaking of transfers, I did myself find a tape I recorded direct from the TV (audio only, though the vid may be smewhere too) of what I think is an MTV type performance - anyone know whether this is readily available?

Well, I'm happy to leave transferring audio stuff to you. I do have a tape deck, but I feel a litle out of my depth when it comes to messing with audio files. But yeah, it's good to share the workload Smiler

It could be MTV Live'n'Loud, which is what Pitry is trying to upload in video form, I think. Are there links between songs? Live'n'Loud has short jokey links with the band talking about Marilyn Monroe and leeks and suchlike...

Wow. After a ful day of uploading this (in addition to reading extemely depressing stories in Welsh, HELP!)

Here it is....

MTV Live'n'Loud, part 1:
file 1
file 2
file 3

You need all three file in order to open the file!

great gig, they were having loads of fun, silly Alonza and Crispian comments, Jay being such an adorable geek, truely, the only competition he has is David Tennant!
Warning tho, editting is extemely epilepsy inducing.

Will upload part 2 tomorrow, prolly. Time to let my computer sleep! Big Grin

Thanks for saving me the trouble of re-uploading all that Smiler

Uninteresting trivia: I set my VCR to record this the first time it was screened on MTV, and sat back and thoroughly enjoyed part one. Then came an ad break, and... instead of part two they showed some kind of frigging documentary on basketball. Obviously some kind of catastrophic tape mix up on MTV's part, although they let it play anyways. Maybe no-one at their end ever noticed.

I had to wait months for a repeat screening. Thankfully they got round to it eventually, and showed both parts the second time.

Did I not send you that originally? I certainly intended to; I'm not sure how it got left off the DVD, unless it was full. I'm glad you're finally getting a chance to hear it anyway Smiler

And thanks for uploading Hotel Babylon; it's one I've kept meaning to do myself. It's worth listening closely to the lyrics on this version.

Yeah, I have not got it from you, you sent me one disc of Kula stuff and there are Irving Plaza gig and some TV shows in 99 (all of them are so nice, I love them! Smiler).

But finally I found it on my Mac... I got it from other person the other day. But for some reason, it was on a completely misplaced folder. Hmm, I don't know why, but it seems I've done it, even though other files have been sorted out on the right folder...

Anyway, it's OK, I finally could watch it, thanks! Smiler

Hmm I think I'm confusing things I've sent to different people - I've sent a lot of DVDs Razzer Now I think back I didn't burn that stuff for you cos I got the impression that you'd already downloaded most of it when I uploaded it on here last year. So there was no need. But obviously that one was one that I assumed you'd downloaded when you hadn't. Anyway you have it now Smiler

Ha ha, I think so Wink But unfortunately, I deleted most files which I downloaded when you uploaded them, cos I couldn't watch them due to lack of codec or something. And I couldn't write you well about it because of lack of English skills at that time, so I didn't, heh.

Pffft I have about twenty hard drives now, all full. And most of them are 300MB or above. I need a spreadsheet to keep track on what's on all of them.

I use a file organiser program to read the contents of all the folders on a drive, dvd or cd (If it's an audio CD it automatically uses the internet to gather info and is very quick). It catalogues all the info within a folder so you can keep it in one place and export it to a spreadsheet, if you wish. I tried a few different ones and found from those that Advanced File Organiser from http://www.softprime.com/ was the best.
