As far as I know all the links in this thread are still working. If you're having trouble with Megaupload, check out my guide to using it on page 2 of this thread.

I don't know the exact date of the filmed one, but April '97 sounds about right for the tour in question. So unless they played consecutive nights at Irving Plaza on that tour, I'd say it's almost certainly the same one.

There's a surprisingly good quality film of the whole show (I guess it was filmed for possible TV showing.) I don't know that anyone's ever uploaded it anywhere, although it circulates on DVDR (got mine from eBay.) It's on my list of things to upload sometime, along with a million other things *sigh*

thanks for the info drykid! ...can you upload at least one of the versions with narayan imcluded... please!!!

I have on my HD a show supposedly from 19th April, rather than 20th. Guess it's the same performance. Far too many breaks due to the DJ, but the sound quality is awesome.

I wouldn't usually do this and will probably be disowned by some traders, but in thanks to 2-J for all his wonderful boots and in order to give back something to this mad little community, I am currently putting up a 320 bit mp3 version - watch for it in the morning (BST), once I've uploaded (4 hours to go due to ISP cap probs Frowner). (But please don't trade this mp3 version - I will trade or B&P with anyone who wants the lossless version).

I would love to see the DVD version if someone could trade.

I can probably dig out of a video of it. If it's an mp3 you want then I tend to leave those to other people really.

Pitry - i would love to get my hands on the Irving Plaza 11-96 show - I was there for that one - what can I do? I have lots of live Black Crowes shows to trade, if you are into them.

-JJCrowe

Did they really play Irving Plaza in Nov 96? The one I'm familiar is the one that was filmed there in '97. And I got the impression from Crispian's stage pronouncements that that was their first US tour?

They did, methinks. The set list fits 96, not 97.... and the date on my cd is 96. Well, there's one grea way to check - the last song is Knight on the Town togetehr with PUSA. it can't be that they did it in two differnet gigs, so unless it's also the case in 97, they played it in 96 Smiler

JJCrowe - I'll try and upload it, hopefully my connection will let me do it Smiler

Sorry, I had to fix your tags; I couldn't help myself :P

Interesting set list; so we still think this is from Irving Plaza, November 1996? It's definitely not the April 1997 Irving Plaza one, anyways.

LoL, fuixed them myself now Smiler

No, I finally listened to the 1997, it's deifnitely not the same gig. I was terying to access Mina's old webpage, she used to have a list of all the KS gigs to check if there was a gig in that date, but it's offline now... if someone's got a copy of hte first edition of Andrea's fnazine (the 2000 one), I think there was a copy of the list there as well. But I'm pretty sure the listing on the CD is correct, it also feels like a 96 setlist, Under the Hammer, Goodbye Tin Terriers and all that.

Ahh ok; it makes more sense to me now then; obvioulsy the show I was familiar with was during their second visit, after all. It's also likely that the TV recording is from the 19th of April '97 as well as the radio broadcast (can't prove it; but it doesn't seem likely to me that they'd record one show for radio and another for tv when they could kill two birds with one stone.) So I doubt if either broadcast is from the 20th when you were there. Pretty close though!
