That Irving Plaza set is nice because it's near-as-damnit release quality. Maybe lacking a truly pro mix. But very good all the same.
I notice they do a bit of the Happy Mondays' 'Hallelujah' during Tattva, for all you completists... it's not much, but then I guess 'I Feel Free' and 'Mantra Slider' and 'Narayan' ain't much either... __________________________________________________________________ I'm an A1 major-league sociopath http://www.kulashaker.net |

Must admit, I was chuffed with the quality when I first got it. Pity about the bloody irritating DJ though. I thought of editing him out, but they didn't leave enough crowd noise to make it flow well enough.

Oh,t hey had halleluja in Tattva loads of time. That was much less surprising than the bit in Jerry - first time I ever heard them enterting that particular lines in there! But yeah, Tattva, Giovinda and Jerry are most liekly to get, well, upgraded at gigs

Even on the most recent tour tour he still segues into Hallelujah from Tattva, yeah? Except that these days it's just the riff, and he doesn't actually sing "Hallelujah" over the top. But it's still obviously "Hallelujah"...

Between that other existance called "Life" and here I have been busy downloading the stuff you have put up. I still have a bit to go and I have one query. Are the Radio 1 tracks on the Big Grab upload the same as the BBC Sessions on the other megaupload? Thanks heaps for all of the stuff you've done. It will fill in most of my gaps in my KS Kollection. In a way of thanks I will see if I can hunt down the PPA Australian cd with the Bonus Disc of three live tracks that was mentioned in this enormous thread. If I get lucky I'll up load it, although someone will have to walk me through it. If I get real lucky and find more than one copy would you like one sent to you? |

Was there one with three live tracks? I have the Australian PPA that came with a bonus disc of Tattva and Hari Om Sundown (both live.) Are you sure you're not getting mixed up with that instead? That one was definitely shared on here in the past (although not by me.)

Here's Aston Villa leisure centre 27th January 1997, soundboard recording, Kula at the peak of their powers (some argue), certainly at the peak of their success:

There were actually two (or more) different bonus discs. The Australian bonus disc, which gets a mention in the album booklet, contains Tattva (live) and Hurry on Sundown (studio). A second bonus disc for European release (I have a single French disc in its own card sleeve and another 2cd set which could be English) contains Sound of drums (live) and Hurry on Sundown (live). So that's three live tracks on two different discs. You don't have to pray for the death of your enemies, we'll defeat them with a song |

Thats the 'one-time only radio play' cd I picked up on ebay a while back. Definately release qulaity. I tried to upload it at the time but got very bogged down trying to edit it. It states it was engineered and mixed by Stephen Harris by the way. Glad its finally out there. You don't have to pray for the death of your enemies, we'll defeat them with a song |

Oh OK, I didn't even know about that one. Thanks for the info! Now I have yet another version of PP&A to buy heh "I have waited to be here Now I feel you, feel you near Take me home" |

PPA Australian release.
Just to confuse things even further... I have just come across (on the net in Oz) PPA with Bonus disc containing: (1) Tattva Live (2) Hurry On Sundown Gawd! How many PPAs are there exactly?? |

I'm familiar with that post, and also the subsequent discussion in that thread whereby someone bought the CD only to find it only had two tracks after all. But if you want to spend the rest of your life searching for a CD that doesn't even exist then knock yourself out. "I have waited to be here Now I feel you, feel you near Take me home" |

Well seeing 2-J mentioned there being one with three bonus tracks perhaps he can enlighten us?
Australia is reknowned for being "different" when it comes to their own releases. Believe me, it's been happening for decades! We spend all our time and money buying Imports because of it. A good example is Marianne Faithful's 'Broken English' If anyone wanted that last track then they HAD to purchase the imported version. |

Well if you check out his own (recently completed) discography he only lists the 2-track one: http://www.kulashaker.net/ppa.html So I consider myself already enlightened *shrugs* "I have waited to be here Now I feel you, feel you near Take me home" |
