K, you should be put a disclaimer up there saying it's an unofficial myspace. People are commenting on it and thinking it's official. Same goes for the 'cripsianmills' myspace.

Apart from that, really nice effort though.

Well firstly i must stress that the page is owned by another (as i call him, the 'higher being') who has basically shared the site for me edit and put more frequent news items on.

Myself and caroline(from crispianmills) have stressed that we are not necessarily endorsed by the band (well in fact, to some extent, we could be)...and we usually do direct ppl here...however,we've had some people that hav givin us some interesting news to work off, which can in some ways seem quite fruitful!

in general, i see it as being very positive people thinking its an official site...it draws more fans in....

PS I respond to every comment and message. I do make them aware its currently run by the 'fans'.

Over half the comments on the page currently, I would say, show that the people who made those comments believe the myspace is Kula Shaker run.

Even if - even if - you respond to every comment explicitly explaining that it's not official, then there will still be others who leave no comment, or send no message, and are deceived.

It's not positive to deceive fans as to the status of the site, no matter what your objective is. Not posting a disclaimer on a fansite (or by extension a fan myspace) is deception, as it is the golden rule that unofficial sites must have a disclaimer (to avoid fraud / passing off allegations).

Don't get me wrong, it's great that there is a presence, of any kind, on myspace, for Kula fans. Dig the style and the content. But you need a disclaimer.

at this point, i would like to make an official statement:

"I cannot personally confirm (even as a major contributor to the current news/content), that www.myspace.com/kshaker, is not an official site".

I understand completely what you're saying, but in this case, there is always someone higher than me pulling the strings.
