Text appears on back of CD jewel case:-

A little over 6 months ago the great spirit of King Kulashaker roused himself from a deep mystical trance, to tell us that he desired to create another album. As is his style (being very strange and mysterious) he didn't tell us what kind of record he wanted us to make. He told us we would have to find out on our own. Thus, we decided the best way to start up the creative engines was to be completely spontaneous. Don't over think the first move. Let is flow. So we went into our friend's garage studio, so small and crusty that Alonza kept banging his head on the ceiling, and recorded this EP, which you hold in your hands. Now we are having a ball, playing live again and bashing through ideas for the 3rd album, our first in 5 years. We hope you feel the love on this record, brothers and sisters. It's good to be back. // God bless the King

Sounds like maybe the album might be more like the old KS fingers crossed.

But then the ep is great anyway so who cares.

I just would love a little more of the indian influence thats all.

I finally got to listen to the new stuff properly yesterday (i.e. not live versions). I sat down in my living room, cleared some space and had a session listening. Although I'd heard them before it was lovely to be able to listen to it all properly. Before my favourite was Diktator but I have to say the whole EP is excellent, really dirty and slightly retro rocky (I know what I mean lol). Hopefully that's the way the album will go!!

Shower your love on me..? Sounds a bit rude if you ask my opinion

I think they should work towards more of a spacey sound rather than go back to their indian influences. You can hear it on PP&A a bit, like the solo on "SOS" and the end of "sound of drums". That's what i think Crispian was trying to do with his solo band (PI) - he had synthesizers and lots of effects and it sounded quality so that's where Kula Shaker should be going. Does anyone know if the PI songs are downloadable from anywhere. I know silver apples was on the Jeevas 1st album but it didn't sound half as good as when he played them with PI.

Silver Apples (Fish People Remix) is actually extremely close (though not quite identical) to the version from which a clip was posted on the Pi website. It's just a slightly remixed version, methinks.

Silver Apples (Fish People Remix) was released on the Have You Ever Seen The Rain CD single. Also a link is on this forum for download, if you search.

Good call, would love to hear some more epics like Great Hosannah, MMG and 108 battles.
