So, the real reason why Leon's still here.

A few years back, Leon (Tom?) wrote a review of one of the early Jeevas shows for the Sheffield Uni paper. As you might've imagined, the review was very negative, written from the perspective of a person who didn't appear to be in a position to provide an objective review. One of my friends decided that his review was unfair, so she wrote to him to pull him up on a few points (including some glaring errors). His response? A suitably witty editorial, encouraging lively debate? A two line apology? A paragraph that Camus would be proud of?

You must be fucking kidding.

Leon's (or Tom, as I think he is known) reply was a crappy little caustic attack, generated by a man hiding behind the facade of the university press, thinking he'd be safe under a veil of relative annonymity. (University press people are notoriously hard to get hold of face to face)

What he didn't count on was my friend seeing him in person while he was canvasing at the hustings for Union President. He was questioned on why he was so rude, but as you might imagine, he did not have an answer. (Unless you can count a nervous smile, squirming and shoe staring as an appropriate response)

By the way, he didn't win the presidential election, thus slipping back into obscurity.

By now, Leon (Tom??) had well and truly lost his erection, so (intent on geting his gun off) he registered on the jeevas board, hell bent on stirring up shit and having yet another pop at my friend.

Wow, what a hard man - maybe he daren't face her on campus?

So there you go folks, 'Leon' is nothing more than a small time journalist with a chip on his shoulder, still unable to come to terms with the fact that he lost an argument with a girl, over a band that he'd already decided he hated before he saw them.

What a true professional.

Funny you should mention fighting...

I had the chance to finish this off a long time ago. On one of the nights I was up at the Uni, I was stood a couple of tables away from 'Leon' and was on my way over to give him a well deserved beating, but I was dragged off while being reminded that if I kicked seven shades out of him, I'd get thrown out and the person who signed me in to Bar One would be banned from the union building too.

A forum that's cool 99.9% of the time, but is occasionaly blighted by a user called Leon. This man still can't get over being made to look a little foolish at his university a few years back, so he continues to mount minor attacks on the members of this board and the band.

GA is 100% right... anyone asking 'what the hell kind of forum is this' just hasn't been around long enough to realise what a nuisance this Tom has been. (Perhaps the person asking is even Tom himself, just trying to fight back the only way he can - under the veil of anonymity once again).

This golden avatar guy seems to have a whole fantasy scenario surrounding me! I can honestly say I remeber NONE of the above events happening, which makes his limp wristed adages seem totally bizarre. I think the guy is perhaps a little delusional, but the fact he has invented a life for me is I suppose flattering. Truly odd though.

You - Someone who was exposed as a troll on the jeevas board and also someone who's printed libellous statements about the band being nazis and the fans being nazi supporters.

I think you should quit while you're ahead, though I'm kicking myself that I didn't shut you up in person when I had the opportunity.

I have no recollection of being rude to anyone regarding the Jeevas, apart from the article I wrote which rightly panned one of the worst gigs I have ever been to. It was so bad the venue manager apologised to me for it at the end and said she would never book them again.
to think I would not say this was the biggest barrel of shite I've ever seen live (The Others show was close!) would be preposterous.

I have no idea what world you live in, but I certainly have no recollection of the events you refer to, which, I'll say again seems very weird.
