Yes it's true a little dream come true for me.

If anyone has any questions, particularly interesting ones we have discussed and wondered at over the years, please let me know / remind me. Pi, Jeevas, Kula, anything goes. I should say though, sorry to be an arsehole, but this isn't a fans Q&A, if they wanna do one of those through the website no doubt they will do one in future - i.e. don't be pissed off if I don't ask your question. But nevertheless any good ideas appreciated and I will use what I can.

I am definitely going to ask about Strangefolk the track, and can anyone link me to that topic about the record company that said they were going to issue Crispian solo stuff..?

raagy girl if you wanna email me about this interview appearing in Strangefolk, or holding back some exclusive stuff for Strangefolk, gimme a mail ( gorillaz-unofficial@hotmail.com )

Congrats on getting the interview! This would be a dream come true for me as well. There are alot of questions that I'd like to ask, such as what songs will be on the album, and will the new album be another acid folk album or will they return to the psychedelic rock sound or will they take it in a different direction entirely, but then again I'd kind of like to be surprised when I sit and listen to it for the first time. However, I would like to know how Kesheva is doing, and if he has been an inspiration for any of the new songs. My wife and I just had a baby boy, Mason Seth, on August 14th, and he has really inspired me to pick up my guitar and start writing again. He loves music, by the way, and he likes listening to Strangfolk alot. Babies are amazing, but alot of work, so I completely understand why we haven't heard much from Crispo lately. Anywaze, good luck with the interview, James. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Will you be posting it on here or on your new site?

Ask - if you dare - about the solo album. What songs were going to be on it? Who was the line up? Why was it scrapped? Will any of the songs ever see the light of day? A future release for the fans?

Also, I'd be interested in why The Jeevas stopped when they seemed on such a roll?

And could you clear up the reasons for KS reforming without Jay? Is it really as clear cut as Oasis pay more? And does the end of Oasis, mean Jay could make a return? Maybe as a guest alongside Harry maybe?

Finally, a "what's in the vaults" type of question. Other unreleased stuff from KS, Jeevas, Pi, Objects of Desire.

Thanks 2-J and savour the moment!

I have some very nerdy guitar questions I would love to know the answer too but I doubt you would ask.

How does he approach soloing and how does he come up with riffs?

Why did he decide to remove the stickers and change the scratchplate and pickups on his famous St. George strat?? Does he regret it?

Why doesn't he use the Peacock and Dragon strats anymore? Can he take some big pictures of them!?

Does he still have the Gibson Wooden Top? How did he acquire it?

If he could work with any musician alive or dead who would it be and why?

What musicians excite him today?

What was it like working with Rick Rubin and why were they not happy with The Sound Of Drums? Did they try any other songs with him?

What song is he most proud of?

What song is he least proud of?

How does he feel his voice has matured through the years from the early demos of K to now?

Is there still room for mysticism and in the charts and on the radio?

If there was a Kula Shaker film who would play the band and who would direct??

There's a bunch of q's - if I could get an answer to any one of those I would be happy but I shall eagerly look forward to the interview whatever questions you ask.

What are his views on 21st Dec 2012? There's a lot of things indicating a massive event on this day - end of mayan calendar, i-ching and Terence McKenna's 'Timewave Zero' (the end of linear time). I'd be interested to know if he thinks there's some truth in this, or if it's all gobbledigook. Please research 'timewave zero' before you discard this question. In fact, just skip the first 3mins of this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-prt5d6m6s

I'm guessing he would have strong views on this - for or against. Thanks

The idea of a global event occurring in 2012 based on any interpretation of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is rejected as pseudoscience by the scientific community, and as misrepresentative of Maya history by Mayanist scholars Frowner . See http://www.anthro.psu.edu/facu...ster_GermanyMaya.pdf , http://www.usatoday.com/tech/s...3-27-maya-2012_n.htm .

Yes, that would be as sensible as asking him about 21st December 2012.

Well, I never said it was true:P It would be interesting to see what his views are since he is a man of belief after all. FYI the Mayan culture believed that 2012 is the "return of the men of wisdom" - exact words once translated. And since their calendar is far more accurate than the Gregorian calendar (no leap years or any of that nonsense) it's not that far fetched.

Anyway, Terence Mckenna's idea is more scientifically plausible.

It wouldn't be a stupid question. Not when you compare it to signing record deals at specific times of the day etc etc. Which KS are "obsessed" with.

Or you could just ask him why he's changed his scratch plate on his strat Smiler Keep it shallow.

Oh yeah and this (that you so kindly pointed out)...

"Part of the 2012 mystique stems from the stars. On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This means that "whatever energy typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time," Joseph writes.

How could I forget about the whole pole-shift thing. Eeker

I'm far more interested in this than any 2012 stuff. The St George Strat was ICONIC!!

I think Poet and King B have covered just about all the VIP stuff between them. This leaves me with one other question...

How did you manage to score this opportunity, 2-J?
It's great news for the Forum and no doubt even greater for you, lucky man!

And King B - congrats on the baby. Perhaps you and Crispian can get together and compare notes on Fatherhood then turn them into songs?
