These are georgous 2-J!
Look great on an album/cd cover.
I am compiling a list of "must do" when I come to England next year (that is if KS tour next year) and the British Museum is already on my list. I didn't know about the refurbishment so that section of the museum is now added in.
Thanks.

Glad to hear you are well again, Skye.
By the way, back when I mentioned "a new addition to the family" I was thinking of morrisonhotel who posts here sometimes. Sorry to confuse.

So what are the tiles then? Who is the Knight? Templar? Round table?!

Look for signs and portents...

According to the notice next to the display, it is Richard the Lionheart and Saladin who are depicted.

Has anyone else noticed that the one on the left has not been pieced together properly? The circular pieces aren't in line with the outer pieces, but on the Hush cd they are. It's messing with my OCD Smiler I won't be able to sleep tonight.

I have the good fortune of not only working at The British Museum but also of having put that very gallery together. Despite having handled those tiles many times and helped install them as they are in the new display it never twigged where I had seen them before....I feel quite the fool now.....good work 2-J and glad you like our gallery!

Nice one... it is a really nice gallery. Any opinion on whether Richard the Lionheart is aligned correctly in your display? Big Grin

The image on the HUSH sleeve has been tidied up to be easy on the modern day eye but 800 years ago they weren't quite as precise (uptight) - they had better things to be doing!!...... like setting off on quests to save fair maidens trapped within four gray walls and four gray towers on silent isles whilst avoiding dragons, merry men and enchantresses (there were no magic lantern shows or Gramophones in those days - they had to make their own entertainment!)..... not to mention the poverty and having to give your precious pittance to the church!
But to go back to your question we prefer to reconstruct objects with what remains of them and not predict or assume how missing sections would have fitted in as a modern eye views things differently - if that makes sense?

Hi there Christine! I often think how lovely it was of you to send me those DVD documentaries! I haven't posted for ages, but have a look every now and then to see if there's anything new! My little girl ..Suzanne Persephone (Suzy for short) was born on the 9th of December last year..and now is nearly 8 months old...I can hardly believe it! Also hoping to hear news about the long awaited new album....but as I have discovered ...nothing is more important than a new addition to the family and everything takes much longer than you expect and often has to be done one handed! Hope all is good with you..let's hope KS go on tour next year and you can make it to the UK!

Hi MorrisonHotel,
Nice to hear little Suzy P is doing well.
As you have read, there's not much happening in KS Land at the moment, but all good things come to those who wait.
As soon as any tour dates are released for 2010 I'll be booking my flight. I'm planning an itenerary bit by bit as it has been quite a few years since I was last in the UK and there's lots of new things I want to catch up on - but the KS concert takes first preference!
