I've finally got it!!! It's not a remix though is it? It sounds like a completely different version. Different drumming, bass line, lyrics and singing. Sounds to me like this is the one recorded by PI because that's that Clive Deamer bloke on drums and the synth parts are all the same.

Well, I know this much: back in the days of crispianmills.com (2000-2001) an excerpt of a studio version of Silver Apples was available to hear on the site for a while. That clip was not from the Fish People remix as released by the Jeevas. However, it has the same synth thing going on so it's probably a remix or slightly different version. Either way, yes, almost certainly recorded during the 'Pi' era.
Btw, how do you know that Clive Deamer is on drums on it? __________________________________________________________________ I'm an A1 major-league sociopath http://www.kulashaker.net |

If you've ever listened to the Portishead tracks on which he plays, you'd be able to tell right away. He definitely has his own "vibe" and sound... Like Bonham had his own style.
