According to the site, Kula Shaker as-yet-untitled new single will be released on 7th February in Japan as serial numbered limited edition, before new album. The EP will contain 3 new songs and 2 live tracks.
And the site says that "Revenge of the King" have been sold about 10,000 copies in Japan.

Well, I have no idea that they have planned to sell new EP in the UK, but they might sell it in some way...I'm not sure, but I hope so. If there is something in which I can help, let me know Smiler

And the site also says, Crispian said "Revenge of the King is a warm-up, we'll definitely write a radio hit tune, so kitai shitete"

Hmm, I couldn't find how to say "kitai shitete" in English - kitai shitete is Japanese laungage - but it means, well, "Look forward to listening to it", "Keep hope in it", "you can count on it" or something like that. I guess there must be a right phrase in this case, but I couldn't come up with it...

Anyway, according the site, it seems that Crispian is confident in new songs. I can't wait to hear it! But it also means, new album is not released until that, at least in Japan (the site says that it'll be released next spring), but it's OK, I keep waiting. I'm glad to hear information about their new songs Smiler

Doesn't look like it's gonna happen, I don't think the band have any UK tourdates planned for a while. Lets hope we get some more information on this Japanese single/EP soon but really it's probably another month or two at least until an album for us. It's a shame but we all know about Crispian Time (TM) don't we? Also there's another small unmentionalbe fly in the album ointment that's making the album take its time so that needs to be rectified first, so yeah, a few more miles/months to go before we hear it.

A big thank you to M2 who's so very good at getting us gossip from Japan and very kind as well getting people albums. Hopefully if I have the cash when it comes out I may take you up on the offer to send one over!

I think that item is this

I have it, it's pretty crap really, not that interesting. And if it is the item I've linked to, it's from ages ago anyway.

Because they are more popular in Japan. At this moment in time, anyway.

Yeah, M2's lovely- she must be one of the most generous people on here!

Oh, by the way- I haven't forgotten about your CD Sarah!! I'll try my best to get it to you tomorrow- I seem to have been a bit busy going out, and having a life recently- I know, shocking! Wink

What's this fly in the ointment you mentioned- is it something major, only I'm really paranoid that something's going to come along at the last minute to stop this album being released!!

Jay wants a payoff - they're trying to iron out the legal side of things.

That's ok, someone on here shoudl have a life. I've been incredibly busy too lately, barely had time to sleep.

Well it's nothing to do with Jay, James is just teasing! I can't really mention it on here as I don't want to a) get in trouble or b) piss off Audrey! We talked all day and lots of stuff came out and I thought it would be ok to tell you guys some basic info about the album but I'm not comfortable revealing too much. Although this stuff wasn't strictly said in confidence, it's not nice to repeat verbatim a conversation you have with someone just because they're married to someone in a band you like. Especially when I actually really like Audrey herself! I understand you asking though. I only mentioned the existance of the fly in the oinment so that people wouldn't get their hopes up of an immenent release.
