would YOU leave oasis? One of the biggest british bands about? Hes settled in that band. he won't leave and he won't return to kula shaker.
And also, theirs no guarantee that this incarnation of kula shaker will do as well as the last. It's going to be an extremely tough battle for them to get back to being top 10 regulars.

I don't know that I actually want them to be in the Top Ten again. It means nothing and if it's only going to get them shit from the NME and Q and other assorted arse hole journalists then I'd rather it stayed a small, close-knit thing. Obviously I wish them all the luck in the world and they deserve massive selling singles and albums and recognition and stuff but then most bands that do aren't in the charts.

And Jay won't return because he hasn't spoken to Crispian in 6 and a half years. They're obviously not great friends no matter how much fans might like it to be different.

But they have to become at least big enough so that they come over here to the States.

As I've said, Matt is always ready to join the Kula whenever Crispian decides to go to the nearest payphone.

Then again, he'd be scared because Matt would be catapaulted into stardom while Q and the NME continue to slag everyone off.

Then Matt and I would buy the NME and sack all the writers.

Yes, seeing as how they've been stuck in first gear since Morning Glory. Jay's never struck me as the type to be swayed by fame or easy success, and he's hardly the world's biggest celebrity for his involvement with Oasis.

Anyway, with their revolving lineup over the last decade I imagine he's due to be replaced fairly soon.

Not to say he'll rejoin the Shaker, but you never know. People seem to be fairly quick in forgetting there are 2 other people definitely in the band besides Crispian, and I'm not aware of any grudges between the other 3. But perhaps I'm just not very well-informed.

No Jay, no K!
Mind you if anyone should or could replace him I reckon that the boy Pritchard has a suitably far out approach to do the job justice. Loads of sucker punch hammond action and crazy sounds that's what the boys need and we deserve! Big Grin

I'd be really surprised if they replaced Jay! I assumed they were going for a different sound this time, and therefore wouldn't bother replacing Jay.
