Yeah, I don't think this update from Crispian is in anyway inconsistent with previous announcements, so it's more of a pleasant confirmation than anything to be suddenly ecstatic about. Good news regardless though Smiler

So that's the setlist from Yspigrock then? Or a list in preparation of gigs to come?

That is the setlist from Yspigrock, it's cut out from a photo a fan posted on the Kula Facebook, of a fan holding it (presumably just after the show) at Yspigrock.

So, two new songs, Sweet / Silent Sympathy and ???? You To Know. Presumably. But none of All Dressed Up And Ready / Craving Heart / Be Merciful / Something Dangerous / I Ain't Got Nobody / Witches And Wine .

This is great news!
All that complainin' for nothing.
Sounds like it's been a heavy year for Crispian and no doubt the band as a whole. A lot of new things to sort - plus Fatherhood!
I must say Maurice Bacon is an ironic name for a manager of vegetarians, don't you think???
And as 2-J mentions, their's a lot of tracks not mentioned. But I guess we should wait patiently and see what is actually on the album before we wonder too much.

Re: the title. Perhaps KS could put it to the Forum to vote on whatever they are tossing around?

as long as it's not "pilgrim's progress" i'm happy.

and i completely forgot about 'craving heart'... sounded like it had the potential to be something special.

Well, I'd class "Craving Heart" and "Be Merciful" as long shots at best for the new album since they both pre-date Strangefolk (by a long time in the case of the latter.) So effectively they've both missed the album that they logically should have been on.

Wouldn't want fans to choose the album title; that would be a bit like asking them to write the lyrics. I might not like the album title that gets used, but if it's the band's intended title then that's more than enough to justify it.

I agree. You'd expect that from the likes of East17, McFly etc.

I'm still optimistic about Be Merciful. More so than Craving Heart. Crispian is still obviously very fond of the song as he played it live not long ago. And it's not had an official studio version release yet, so I think they're trying to get it sounding just right before they release it. I hope so anyhoo

I know what you mean, I get a 'For This Love' feeling about Craving Heart. I've only heard it from one gig that was bootlegged by some fine fellow here, and although it is great, it isn't played alot, like Be Merciful.

However...we can hope. After all, we didn't hear a thing about Song of Love, never played live etc, but that is fantastic!

Look for signs and portents...

How good would it be if For this Love Was on the new album? Eeker That would be cool. Very unlikely but one can dream.

The communication isnt strictly for the fans on this site.

I wonder why Crispian doesnt post here?

I guess because its just a one shot and follow up postings cant be expected.

That said, at least its something.
