I've been off the net for a while, so lots of catching up to do. I agree with J-2, if we are waiting for journalists to pick up on KS then there is indeed a credibility mountain to climb. What is required is getting on the televised festival circuit. Lots of people will see the band for the first time and be blown away. This may give rise to informed discussion on nazi-gate, which will clarify the whole shit business and put it to bed once and for all. I feel positive change is coming.

It had been clarified like a thousand times in the past, including by the same peopel who started it in the first place (is not looking at the Guardian's general direction. Not at all Wink)
I'd say if people would come to the subject of KS not out of a wish to slag them off bvut out of genuine positive onlook then, much like that interview Ian posted, it'll get a brief mention and then be ignored.
About time. Only been, what, 11.5 years since Crispian made that comment?...

Seems like everyone is suffering withdrawal to me! Come on, give this a chance. If I was a member of the band reading this I think I'd feel like throwing in the towel. I'm remaining positive even if no one else is...I still see a positive change coming!

You mean The Independent, yeah? They were the ones who did the original "expose" piece in 1997 (I still have that btw, though I have zero intention of scanning it.) The Guardian have been no more or less hostile than the rest of the press as far as I know.

And actually the more I think about, it was The Independent On Sunday, which I think is technically a different newspaper to The Independent itself (different staff?)

Oh, the Independent! You're right. My bad.

Well, I wasn't look at the Guardian's general direction, as I said. Smiler

Skye - I don't know if I'm not positive - expecting people to finally stop mentioning the whole swastika thing seems pretty positive to me... Wink

Well, had it not worked I could always claim that it was a Freudian slip anyways cos at the moment the Guardian's attached in my mind to unpleasant news Razzer

Who gives a monkey's what the papers think or say!!!?

Let every one else listen to the X- factor band of the day Smiler

I must admit I did stumble across the new album though, not much in the way of marketing guys! Still, I now have bought TWO copies (don't ask!)and it's the best new album I have heard for a LONG time!!

Here Here Ash!

Paper writers over-estimate the importance of their babbling dialogue.

The way forward is to just follow what you believe in not what 'they' dictate as being cool or not.

Since when was it cool to read fodder for the masses anyway?

Four legs good, two legs bad, four legs good, two legs bad........repeat ad-infinitum.

Nothing is wrong with Kula S - I think this is the way to go as it brings freedom. Creative people need freedom more than anything else as creativity is the pure expression of freedom. This is the age of Independence!! Who cares about newspapers - they're so out of touch these days - The internet is where it's at. After having Kula Withdrawal I dug out my old K CD and then searched and found them on MySpace. Can't express the pure joy and delight of finding out they're back!!!!! Didn't need the press to tell me - my soul searched them out. Power to the people!!! Woohoo!!! Smiler
