Tell me more about Mr. Ben's Shop, Skye?

Hi Christine, Mr Benn was a 70's kids animated TV program here in the UK. Mr Benn would go into this wonderful costume shop-he'd try on an exotic costume and have an adventure suitable for the attire he wore. I think the whole program lasted about 5 minutes but to me then, it seemed like ages and remains one of my favourite kids TV programs. Here's a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM0PEgA04AU

Thanks for that Skye.
What a lovely idea for a children's programme! I can see why it remains a favourite.
Oh to find a real Mr. Benn's shop (sighs)
Now I get the Crispian reference and hell, if he's having a good time with his costumes I say let him go for it. He never wears them for an extended time anyway.
Plus, let's face it, it's in his blood.

I thought the reference was to that Mr Ben's vintage shop in Glasgow the band had been shopping at....

There were points in this thread when I was sorely tempted though so let's have an end to this. Dragging people's personal lives into the open without their consent, however vaguely, may not be the same as libel but it is extremely bad manners.

And, for the record, it's my belief that a good admin should be like a good butler, unseen until they're required. Please don't mistake that for lack of vigilance or care.

Many Thanks

My apologies Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms/Dr/Rev/Colonel Admin.

A good butler would know when to put the kettle on.

I reckon the admin's a cat. A CatButler! That would so rule.

Pwned, James, pwned.

Awww, we've not done any pwning for a while. Indeed I think that was some brown board stuff, the pwning. Sadly the boots I used to pwn all in are now dead and gawn. I will have to pwn in my electro Rocket Dogs instead.

These shoes will pwn.

Wowee 53 replies since I was last here... I'm not online much, so sorry for my belated reply.

I agree. Does that mean we can move on now? We post, we respond - Que sera sera. I have no hard feelings, insults bounce off me like jelly balls in a jelly room Smiler I joined this forum because I wanted to share my love of their music and ethos and do it in a positive, open environment. Smiler

How about a nice cup of tea? Big Grin

p.s. Yes, I do genuinely and wholeheartedly believe in love and peace.

p.p.s. Kula without spirituality is like jammy donuts without the jam.

p.p.s. Anyone for a group hug? Roll Eyes
