Time for a bit of nostalgia now..
I just seen footage of the spice girls performing Lady is a Vamp with that infamous opening line.. "Elvis was a coola shaker Marley, Ziggy Melody Maker" I wonder how many of the audience now a days actually know who the opening line was a reference to.. This message has been edited. I remember reading in TOTP magazine, back in the day, that the Spice Girls invaded the Kula Shaker dressing room prior to their Poll Winners' Party performance. Scandal!
The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming. |

So whats the reference?
All I really know about Elvis is that he sang, danced, acted, joined the army, took LSD25 and was into white knickers! A regular guy lol Nor this moment re-lived |

Yeah undoubtedly a Kula Shaker reference. Kula were at the peak of their popularity at the time the song was written, too.
