You see...this was the problem when I was on the board in '99. All you cats are from the UK...and little old me, in Canada. When I ask anyone here if they know who kula shaker is, they always give me a funny look. im the only "hardcore" in the area, it seems.
montreal is beautiful... far from Toronto tho.

I think there are a couple of people on here from Toronto, and many others from other parts of North America. There are also some members here from Central and South America. Kula fans are worldwide, not just in the UK.

I'm your neighbor below digdug in the states (NH). but i know what you mean about none of your friends knowing KS. seems like all my friends listen to rap or country music and i can't stand either one. i have a broad taste in music and kula shaker brings it all together and then some i guess. just need to spread the good word i guess! Wink

welcome to the forum

I'm from Ottawa, and there are another bunch from Toronto and Montreal (and possibly one from Edmonton).

What was your name on the old board?

Hey I'm an exchange student living in Toronto ... I'm still trying to figure out where to go on weekends. Can anyone suggest any good clubs/bars - where they'd play Kula Shaker etc?

Thanks!

Republik. I always hear adds for that on the Radio, though I've never been. Its on College Street, West of Spadina. Also, the Velvet Underground on Sunday Nights for 80s & 90s alternative.

Where are you studying in Toronto?
Can't comment on the club life - just not my scene. More of a pub person really - and I don't venture downtown much anymore (*sigh* i'm so OLD now). I used to like going to Blow Up/Bring'em On In or similar nights once in awhile - I'm not sure it exists anymore though. Still want to check out Zoi Zoi, but I don't know anyone who'd WILLINGLY go with me. *L*
