Thanks for the setlist Smiler

Maybe one of the songs was one of the daniel johnson covers. And the other reported unreleased song played this summer previously was witches and wine (doesn't mean they played it yesterday though). I'm sure m2 can clarify when she gets on here next Smiler

Funny thing was I was in Guildford HMV yesterday morning and they were playing K! Made me feel a a bit sad, but I did have a great time at the show I went to also.

Unknown song 1 had the line "Oh my love your song is such a pretty song" or something like that.

They were superb!! I was in the front row, and I filmed "Witches and Wine" again, the picture/sound quality is better than the Parkpop's one I think Smiler

Yeah, Unknown1 was "Witches and Wine", and Unknown2 was "True Love Will Find You in the End" Smiler

I saw Paul's daughter was dancing heavily on rear edge of the stage when Kula was playing "Govinda", it was so cute!

I feel I have to write and say how desperately disappointed I was to see Crispian pulling 'vomit' hand gestures and general faces at all of KS's successful songs. I had been looking forward to seeing them again so much. If they're sick of the songs, they should let them go and do something else. I would be hugely disappointed to find out that Kula Shaker are now just about the money and not building on a great song writing reputation and songs that I and so many others have such great memories of.

Sorry everyone, but I can't just ignore it. Trust, I am a KS fan and hope that I've just misinterpreted.

Hmm. Can anyone else confirm that he really was doing that? I've seen them play live fifteen times or so over the last couple of years, and I haven't seen him do that once. Although I guess it wouldn't surprise me too much if they were sick by of playing a few of them by now; "Hush" particularly (since it isn't even their song.) But I'd hope that if they are sick of them then they'd just drop them from the set rather than going through the motions.

Drop them for the set at a festival like that?? Lead balloon time f'sure, sadly Smiler

But I do agree that I have never seen them be even slightly reticent about playing 'the hits' before, so it's strange news if true.

I think they must be desperate to get on with the new stuff, particularly as they have been in the studio. Much as we love the more familiar and popular songs I guess they are getting sick of them. They have worked very hard this year and I also suspect that they've had enough of touring for the time being. These festivals although necessary could possibly have been a bit of an inconvenience in their recording schedule. If it is true about the vomit gesture then it is a bit of an insult to fans and dare I say, Crispian could have shot himself in the foot again.

Nice pics m2!
I wouldn't mind a pair of those red jeans.
Perhaps Crispian will start a new fashion trend?

hi

had a v. busy time since I got back from down south. After G.fest I went to Bristol for a couple of days. Despite it raining so heavily that I was wet to my shins I didn't want to go home.

Pics I got of Guilfest are great, not had a chance to edit them properly yet. Did wish that KS had played a longer set, one hour wasn't enough, and I was hoping to hear more new stuff. Guess I'll just have to hold me horses...

I took a couple of videos of the gig, but the sound is awful. Bah
