Yes, me. I found out that this festival takes place in the oldest public park in the Netherlands, south of the city of Haarlem. The Bevrijdingspop website doesn't mention anything about tickets so it looks like this is a free festival.

Yes it's free!
It is a festival tot celebrate the liberation (bevrijding) of the Netherlands on the 5th of may 1945. Trough the whole country there are a couple of free festivities on that day.

Thought I'd make the Haarlem festival but looks like I can't get back in time for work on Tuesday, Sh**. Waiting patiently for more announcements.

Hi,
I found out about this thread through a Google-alert.
I'm one of the organisers of Bevrijdingspop and willing to answer your questions. (I think we're going to make an english section on our website next year)
Anyway, It's a free festival indeed, and somebody already mentioned the program (we're announcing the other three bands (which are still tba) in the following week(s).
You're free to e-mail me at pepijn [at] bevrijdingspop [dot] nl.
Kind Regards,
Pepijn.

I don't know Juliette and the Licks but I know Claw Boys Claw (= excellent Dutch band) and Eva de Roovere (= boring Belgian singer). Anyway, a 45 minutes Kula gig is indeed disappointing.

Juliette and the Licks is the band featuring Juliette Lewis (probably better known as the Hollywood actress from Natural Born Killers, Cape Fear and way too many other movies to mention.) They're not bad in a sub-PJ Harvey kind of way (and certainly a whole lot better than Keanu Reeve's terrible old band Dogstar.) But you still get the impression that a lot of their success is down to the singer's name...
