I've got a feeling the festival organisers have just copied that from the internet, so it doesn't mean it's officially back. Although I would love to have that sign on the new album.
I will be going to that festival I think, if I can persuade some of my friends that Kula Shaker aren't some 90's-reject-bandwagon-jumping-reformation of hippies.

Hmmm Cumbria is a bit out of my way, but I'll still have to consider this. Hopefully this won't be the only UK festival appearance this year (although the cynic in me can't help but remember there was only one last year...)
Nice to see The Dhol Foundation on the same bill too. I would've thought this means that the odds are good of Johnny Kalsi and the rest joining KS on stage like they did at the ICA in 2007 (which was a gig I have fond memories of...)

I could make this one, even though it's a long hike for me - but can anyone tell me when Kula Shaker are on, as I'm gigging myself on the Sunday?! And Solfest won't announce the band times etc. as they want folks to come for the whole fest - I would, but it's just not possible!!!

I wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about their set, since no-one else on here seems to have gone.
Did they play any new songs? (They played a couple at the previous gig at Ypsigrock, although no-one seems to be quite sure what they're called.) And did Dhol Foundation join them onstage for any of the tracks?

Erm..... well to my dis-credit.... I was drunk, and hadnt heard Kula shaker for years. Only had K, didnt realise they had a second album nevermind a third..... so all I can say is.... they played a blinding set that fired me up to get home, buy cds, download tracks, sign up on here.... and make damn sure I catch them again next time!!!!!! PS everyone in work is sick of Kula Shaker after me playing their albums over the last fortnight!!! haha!!!

Oh, and Dhol Foundation..... I didnt spot them on stage with Kula Shaker, but I did witness their set and that was a blinder too, musically and visually very refreshing. Downloaded their albums too, but dont live up to the live 'spectacle' really! Still good albums though! I am a long time Transglobal Underground fan so checked 'em out on that basis.... and so glad I did!!!

Fair enough. The only reason I thought Dhol Foundation might guest with KS is that they have done in the past (at the ICA in 2007 for instance), so I figured that since they were at the same festival it was an ideal opportunity for something similar. Oh well, maybe next time...
