There were a whole bunch of supporting bands. As I recall the support was different each day, and Kula Shaker only played one of the dates.

I have to say though I'm not sure it's universally accepted that KS blew Oasis off stage. Although it's generally cosidered that Oasis weren't exactly at their best.

I remember Kula Shaker saying at the time that they weren't really that nervous - the audience was so vast that they just looked like a blur! I think it was hard for the people at the back, as I don't think the sound was particularly brilliant for any of the acts! But yes, KS only did the one day. They were on good terms with Noel Gallagher at that stage, but I think Crispian took a bit of a dislike to both brothers after that gig! As such, they're on singularly bad terms now! I spoke to Crispian about it once during the Jeevas, 'twas most amusing!

OMG this is so funny - I was there!!! I'm sure it was the 10th because it was on my birthday and although I wasn't overkeen on Oasis my friends paid for the tickets and bought me a t-shirt hahha!

I can't really remember much except Kula and 2 other openers were great and when Oasis came on it was a bit of an anti climax. It was really obvious that the openers were better than Oasis and I remember it being a big discussion at the time hahaha. And, that was also the time that cemented my loving the great shaker I was completely in awe at them - they were just brilliant live. I couldn't really see too much as I don't really like crowds and most of my friends went down the front and a couple of us sat at the back of the field on the hill on a blanket we took with us - right by the donut truck! - so we sat and ate donuts all afternoon/evening on the blanket and enjoyed the music. It was quite chilled. Could hear fine at the back from what I remember - considering we were right at the back, it was just the bands were tiny ant people hahahhaa although they did have screens, I vaguely remember there was a delay like in martial arts movies where the lips and the sound don't quite match. It was a good day though - I remember I was happy although I can't really remember specificsthat well. Gosh such a long time ago. Oh and because I had smiled waved at all the Security while driving in they stopped my car and directed me to the motel parking, which meant although it was a long walk there and back - there was no traffic jam leaving hehehe - it took my other friends in 2 other cars about 3-4 hours to get out hahahahaha - just shows it's always good to smile and wave at security! Wow, a trip down memory lane. I kind of forgotten I had been.
